My Inspiration
This book was inspired by real-life adventures my family had while hiking, biking, and kayaking across the state of Virginia. Our outdoor adventures were woven together by a scavenger hunt for LOVE signs, and we’ve traveled to more than 100 of them!
After reading this book, I hope that you are inspired to adventure around Virginia too. All of the places mentioned in the book are real, and you can explore each region by creating your own scavenger hunt.
May your journeys be filled with blue mountains, green valleys, and sweet Virginia breezes!
My Background
I graduated from the University of Virginia with an undergraduate and graduate degree in accounting. During my time at UVA, my love for Virginia history flourished, and I spent many hours giving tours as part of the University Guide Service.
Now I'm a business professor at American University, and I live in Northern Virginia with my husband and three children. I've included a collage of our adventures below.
